Church School Classes

Sundays 9:30AM to 10:15AM

Each class provides a variety of teaching style. Each have one or two functions a year away from the church.

  • Loyal Partners Class-singles & couples, over 65 years of age
  • New Horizons Class-couples 40-65 years of age

Adult FOCUS

An adult education ministry continues weekly Wednesday evenings series known as FOCUS, provides a forum for various current issues of society & religion. It generally runs Jan-May and Sept-Dec and brings in guest lecturers.

  • 5:45PM Dinner for $4.00-fellowship hall
  • 6:30PM- 7:30PM lecture-Chapel

Lenten Lectures

Lenten Lectures are each year prior to the Easter season and provide well-known speakers from all over the world. These lectures were made possible by the Lee & Elaine Thompson Lectureship.

Oklahoma Disciple Women (Christian Women’s Fellowship)

All women of the church belong to ODW and it meets every 2nd Tuesday, 12 Noon in the fellowship hall with lunch, a program & a brief business meeting.
Group meetings are on various days:

  • Lydia Group 3rd Monday 6:00PM Church Parlor
  • Bible Study Group 3rd Tuesday of each month Fellowship Hall 9:45 AM
  • Mary Martha Group 1st Monday following the 2nd Tues Fellowship Hall 1:30PM
  • Service Group of ODW meet every 1st Tuesday 9:00AM to 11:30AM to work on varoious projects for community outreach. A light lunch is provided for $4.00.

Christian Men’s Fellowship

Christian Men’s Fellowship meet every Tuesday with a light lunch at 11:30 for $4.00.

Deaconesses

Deaconesses of FCCOKC are made up of women in the church who are elected to this group. They visit the sick, send cards and call on the homebound members of the congregation. They also prepared meals for families the day of a funeral. They meet every 1st Tuesday. These ladies also prepare communion each week for the Sunday morning service.

Library

The FCCOKC library includes a large number of books that include references, current authors on spirituality, works of the history of religion, as well as fiction books for adults and children.
