Community Outreach

Our members support a variety of local agencies through donations of time and money. Volunteer ministries is to place the right people in the right places for the right reasons. 1st Corinthians 12: 4-5 "Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries and the same Lord."

Meals on Wheels

Every Tuesday meals are provided and delivered to shut-ins in the Edgemere/Crown Heights area. Meals are boxed up and delivered by volunteers who are sometimes the only contact these people have each week.

SKIL

(Supporting Students in Independent Living) This organization provides a bridge to graduation for high school students who are without family.  It helps students to live on their own and complete their high school education.  Annually there are approximately 40 students in the program.  Over 300 students have been served.  The SKIL advisory board meets once a month at FCCOKC.

Special Offerings further this outreach work 3 times a year at Easter, Christmas, and the week of Compassion from the congregation of FCCOKC.

Through our National affiliation FCCOKC supports many missionaries in other countries.  By combining these efforts we are able to do a great deal more in these countries around the world.
